Punjab’s government has agreed to hire nearly 13,500 teachers for nine months at schools across the province. According to media sources, the government has opted to hire instructors on a daily basis for the current academic year rather than making long-term hires.

The Schools Instructors Internship Program will recruit these teachers in six stages. In each phase, six districts pick for the hiring process. In the first phase, 13,736 teachers hire on a daily basis after applying online.
Rs. 130.4 million set aside by the provincial government
This project has a budget of Rs. 130.4 million set aside by the provincial government. The hiring is done at the union council (UC) level, and only UC and Panchayat council unemployed applicants would be able to apply. Additionally, the employed educators will not be able to transfer.
The government is presently taking applications for the positions, with the deadline for submissions set for July 15. The shortlist candidates will then be interview on July 20. And the School Council will send letters to the successful candidates on August 5. Moreover elementary school teachers would be paid Rs. 800 per day. Secondary school staff Rs. 1000 per day. And higher secondary school teacher Rs. 1200 per day, according to reports.
